Charles Stevens, Psy.D., has practiced clinical psychology – children, teens, adults and families are counted among his patients -- for 38 years in Brevard County, Florida.

A graduate of West Virginia University and the University of the Pacific, he received his doctorate in 1984 from Florida Institute of Technology, where he later taught psychology.

 He also:

• Has been an adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida, Brevard Community College/Eastern Florida State College and Webster University.

• Has worked extensively with Florida’s juvenile justice system.

• Has lectured and given seminars in various psychology-related subjects at venues around the country.

• Is frequently called upon as an expert witness before courts and at hearings.

• Has been a consultant in the film industry.

 Dr. Stevens also has practiced clinical psychology and served as a director in the institutional setting, including 10 years at Devereux hospitals in California and Florida.

 A great follower of contemporary theater and film, he also has taught about the relationship of psychology to various plays and movies and is the brains behind Coastal Shrinks, a series of videos for social media in which he and other professionals explore the relationship of psychology to pop culture and behavior.
